The Context
This event was part of the development of the Early Action Together , a nationwide programme tackling adverse childhood experiences across Wales. The two day conference brought together police and public service partners to address a complex challenge: translating research and lived experience into practical organisational changeto embed trauma-informed approaches across policing and criminal justice in Wales.
The sessions covered the problem, risks and resilience, strategies, evidence and implications, building capacity, implementation, discussion and workshops; requiring participants from different organisations and disciplines to build a shared understanding around trauma-informed practice, resilience and long-term systems change
The Result
The completed graphic recordings provided a lasting visual record of the programme, helping participants revisit key themes, communicate the principles of trauma-informed practice and support continued learning across organisations. Together, they formed a visual narrative of the programme’s development, demonstrating how ideas evolved from shared understanding to practical implementation.
The graphic recordings helped create a shared visual language around trauma-informed practice, supporting organisations as they moved from discussion towards lasting cultural and organisational change
The graphics were displayed at the conference and gave participants insight into parallel sessions as well as providing an immediate overview of proceedings for executives and speakers unable to attend the whole conference.
